Archiving Policy

Social, Science, Mathematical, and Technical Education Review (SSMTER) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of all published scholarly content. This archiving policy outlines the mechanisms used to safeguard the journal’s digital content.

Digital Archiving System

SSMTER utilizes reliable digital archiving systems to ensure that published articles remain permanently accessible, even in the event that the journal ceases publication.

The journal is archived through:

  • Open Journal Systems (OJS) archiving features;

  • Institutional repositories and journal partner repositories;

  • Distributed preservation services such as LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and/or CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS), where applicable.

Self-Archiving Policy

Authors are permitted and encouraged to archive their published articles in:

  • Institutional repositories;

  • Personal websites;

  • Academic social networks and scholarly platforms.

Authors must clearly acknowledge the original publication in Social, Science, Mathematical, and Technical Education Review and include a proper citation and link to the journal website.

Version Control

The final published version (Version of Record) is the authoritative version of the article. Any earlier or alternative versions archived elsewhere must clearly indicate that they are not the final published version.

Metadata Preservation

SSMTER ensures that complete article metadata, including authorship, abstracts, keywords, and publication details, are preserved and remain accessible to support indexing, discoverability, and citation tracking.

Content Integrity and Accessibility

The journal takes reasonable steps to protect archived content from unauthorized alteration while ensuring continued public access in accordance with its open access policy.

Commitment to Scholarly Record Preservation

Through its archiving policy, Social, Science, Mathematical, and Technical Education Review demonstrates its commitment to the long-term preservation of scholarly research in social sciences, science education, mathematics education, and technical or vocational education.
